Document lists Mexicana and Totonaco as the languages spoken, fauna, etymology of place names, and topographic features of the land such as rivers and roads.  Descriptions place these communities in a historical, geographical, and cultural context within the larger province of Zacatlan and provides details on native population, and systems of governance.  Also included are multiple visual representations of the landscape, known as pinturas or maps.
