"A esta hora conversamos", a radio program produced by the Longhorn Radio Network, includes interviews, music, and informational programs related to the Mexican American community and their concerns. Program summary: Alma Diaz interviews Latine students from the University of Texas, Austin Law School. They discuss the struggles of minorities in law, such as social and economic gaps, job-seeking prejudice, and sexual discrimination. The interviewees discuss the economic gaps between minority students compared to their white peers and the cultural difference in law school, leaving minority students behind. The interviewees point out that minority student face hiring discrimination when being interviewed by law firms. They point out that the law firms focus on grade point average and LSAT instead of seeing the attorney's hands-on ability in court, negotiation abilities, and skills in speaking with other minorities. Navarro speaks about sexual discrimination faced by Hispanic females working in law firms. She discussed the measures taken by the Women's Law Caucus group in which they provided recommendations to UT Austin's Law School Faculty Student Place Committee to better their treatment of issues faced by minority students in school and when seeking work in law firms. .
