Visual representation of Ameca, initially located in the Archdiocese of Mexico (now under the Diocese of Guadalajara). Created by an unknown artist, the map depicts the administrative capital of Ameca and the surrounding communities and landscape. Centered on the map is the Pueblo de Ameca with its principal church, plaza, jail, and royal houses. Surrounding the plaza and central buildings are the houses of the town of Ameca. A river with various branches is seen throughout the map as well as two ranges of mountains that mark the left and right of the map. The main roads are marked and labeled, reaching outlying cities like Ixcatlan, Guadalajara, las minas de Guachingo, minas de Palmarejo, Mexico, and the province of Avalos. There are a good number of farms and properties shown and corresponding labels of their owners. Some of these include the different wheat farms of Juan Sanchez, Juan Vazquez, Juan Nunez, and Francisco de Mesa. Other farms of livestock include the sheep farms of Uergara, Martin Jurado, and Nuno de Lemos. A few smaller towns depicted include Jayamitlan and Huitzquilic. Created in response to question ten listed within the relación geográfica questionnaire for Ameca.
