Lareatha Clay, initiated into the Delta Xi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. in 1977, talks about her experience as the Dean of Pledgees in 1978, creating scholarships, staying active on campus, and becoming the first Black woman to join The Daughters of the Republic of Texas along with her mother and sister.
