Unknown house, Austin, exterior | Single story stone house with hip roof, built high off the ground with lattice screen skirting. Numerous front steps with banister lead up to the porch, and a balustrade surrounds the left side, while the right side of the porch is enclosed with screening and a low wall. The front door has a fanlight window and wide surround. The house has two chimneys and several trees in the yard. The edge of a neighboring building is just visible on the left, and the top of another dwelling is visible in the far background on the right. | From a series of unique photographic images, which Williams took on his travels through central Texas in the 1920s, showing examples of vernacular architecture. Williams donated the negatives to the UT's School of Architecture in 1961 and they were subsequently transferred to the Alexander Architectural Archives.
