Single story house of plaster-covered stone, with one corner of uniform block
Title:
Single story house of plaster-covered stone, with one corner of uniform block
Description:
Unknown house, Castroville, exterior | Single story stone house with peeling plaster coating, with the prominent corner of the house appearing to be built of a different, uniform stone or cement block. The house has two chimneys and one shuttered window on the side. A picket fence with vines and two large shrubs line the foreground. One of the shrubs obscures the porch. | From a series of unique photographic images, which Williams took on his travels through central Texas in the 1920s, showing examples of vernacular architecture. Williams donated the negatives to the UT's School of Architecture in 1961 and they were subsequently transferred to the Alexander Architectural Archives. | George also believes it is Castroville
