Description:
Unknown house, San Antonio, exterior | Single story house with two chimneys, one at either end, a full-length covered porch with square columns, and a white picket fence along the front of the porch and extending out on either side. There is a door and window on both ends of the facade, opening onto the porch. The doors and windows are all trimmed with molding and have double screen doors that open from the middle. A sidewalk passes just in front of the picket fence, and there is a wooden bucket by the sidewalk. There are potted plants and a chair on the porch. | From a series of unique photographic images, which Williams took on his travels through central Texas in the 1920s, showing examples of vernacular architecture. Williams donated the negatives to the UT's School of Architecture in 1961 and they were subsequently transferred to the Alexander Architectural Archives.
