Unknown house, Independence, exterior | Two-story house with two-story columns, star-decorated gable, front steps, and vine-covered balustrade. Trees on either side of image, bench on porch. Clapboard siding and brick foundation. | From a series of unique photographic images, which Williams took on his travels through central Texas in the 1920s, showing examples of vernacular architecture. Williams donated the negatives to the UT's School of Architecture in 1961 and they were subsequently transferred to the Alexander Architectural Archives.
